Refractory Rebuild on our No6 Holding Furnace in the Casting Shop
In 2023, Alvance British Aluminium completed a comprehensive refractory rebuild on our No6 Holding Furnace in the Casting Shop. The reline, which represented a £600,000 investment, was essential to rejuvenate the furnace’s refractory lining and ensure the continued efficiency of our casting operations.
In summer, this year the main contractor TAB Refractory Construction & Maintenance Co. LTD – a division of Pyrotek, completed an inspection and maintenance visit on the furnace. The feedback from this inspection, reported that the furnace lining is still in excellent condition after a full years’ service.
This significant investment is part of our ongoing commitment to maintaining industry leading standards in our production facilities and in developing key long-term supplier relationships.
