#NoWrongPath – James Rosie
After leaving Lochaber High School, James Rosie went on to study a HND in Electrical Engineering, followed by a BEng at Glasgow Caledonian University.
A summer placement with us gave James his first experience of the smelter – and when he graduated, he returned as a Graduate Electrical Engineer. He went on to become a Power Plant Controller and Electrical Maintenance Engineer before taking a role with SSE.
Eventually, James made his way back here and now works as a Senior Electrical Engineer in our Power and Hydro team.
When he’s not working on high-voltage systems, you might hear James before you see him – playing as a piper with the renowned Police Scotland & Federation Pipe Band at other events across the country and beyond.
