Fort William Summer Street League Shinty
Now that summer seems like a distant memory here is a throwback to the 2024 Summer Street League Shinty, proudly sponsored by Alvance British Aluminium.
James Tangney our Lead Engineer and President of Fort William Shinty Club commented on the sponsorship, saying:
“As the summer street league has come to an end for another year, I just wanted to take time out to thank our sponsor Alvance British Aluminium. They have supported us with funding specifically for the equipment over the last few years and it has been a tremendous help.
Last year we were able to buy helmets and sticks and this year it was nets and balls and having this support really allows us to concentrate on putting on the best event possible.
This event is something the club is really proud of as it opens to all the children from every club and school in the area and beyond. The kids have a great time at it’s all made possible by our sponsor’s ongoing support”.
A huge thanks to the volunteers and the community support for this brilliant initiative and providing fun for many young people.
