Christmas with ALVANCE British Aluminium
ALVANCE British Aluminium celebrated their end of the year with their final event organised by their Social Committee. Children of staff eagerly looked forward to their traditional annual Christmas party hosted by the company, after missing the last couple of Christmas parties due to the pandemic. The celebrations took place at Caol Community Centre, where over 70 children of staff cheerfully received presents from Santa, with fun and games by Maddie the Entertainer, followed by a buffet with music from DJ, Simon Abberley, who carried the party through to the evening.
Through the staff Social Committee, donations have been made to the Lochaber Food Bank where the 200 strong team at the Smelter have collaborated to donate food they have purchased for the cause. A variety of gifts for all ages have been donated to Love in a Box, a voluntary group who collect and distribute gifts for disadvantaged children around Lochaber. This year the Social Committee have raised a whopping £4,000 for their selected local charities through bake sales, lucky squares competitions and raffles. In addition, the company has also made a large variety of donations throughout the year to local causes.
Tom Uppington, Managing Director of Alvance British Aluminium, commented saying: “We are proud of how our team have gone above and beyond to offer their time, generosity and passion to raise funds and awareness of local causes. We would like to wish everyone a merry Christmas and a prosperous New Year”.
