Aluminium Medals Crafted in Lochaber for Ben Nevis Race 2025
500 hardy runners took on the Ben Nevis Race – nine tough miles from Claggan Park to the summit and back, with 4,411 feet of climbing across some of the most challenging and varied terrain in mountain running.
For the first time, every finisher received a medal made right here in Lochaber.
Aluminium produced at our smelter was cast into medals and engraved by CPC Infinity Designs in Caol, cutting the carbon footprint by keeping it local.
A special thanks to Bill Cameron from the Ben Race Committee for bringing this collaboration together, to our Casting team for pulling the vision to life, and to all the volunteers who made this iconic event possible.
These medals celebrated the connection between community, industry and the Ben itself, which majestically sits within Jahama Highland Estates.
Our Managing Director, Tom Uppington, had the honour of opening this year’s race.
And finally, well done to our colleagues who took on this spectacular challenge and crossed the finish line with aluminium made in Lochaber.
