Established in 1929, Alvance British Aluminium has been a prominent employer in Lochaber for many years. With a workforce of approximately 200 individuals, we are proud to employ professionals with diverse expertise, knowledge, and skills in various disciplines, including civil engineering, health and safety management, smelter operations, accounting, power maintenance, and rural estate management.

Hydro Operator
An opportunity has arisen to join the Power and Hydro team in Fort William. The purpose of this role is to provide a daily record and report of dam levels and water readings to the Hydro Manager. In addition, the role will involve a significant amount of general maintenance.

Controls & Automation Engineer
This is a key role, providing both day-to-day operational support and working on engineering projects. You’ll also play an active part in mentoring and coaching engineers and technicians.
- Working hours Monday – Thursday: 7:30am – 4:00pm Friday: 7:30am – 12:30pm
