Established in 1929, Alvance British Aluminium has been a prominent employer in Lochaber for many years. With a workforce of approximately 200 individuals, we are proud to employ professionals with diverse expertise, knowledge, and skills in various disciplines, including civil engineering, health and safety management, smelter operations, accounting, power maintenance, and rural estate management.

2025 Modern Apprentice Apprenticeship Programme (Electrical/Mechanical)

We have three exciting Modern Apprenticeship opportunities to become a fully qualified craftsperson.

With structured professional development, you will participate in exciting projects and continue building your experience on our daily operations ‘ins and outs’ as well as getting the opportunity to attend UHI in Inverness. All associated learning costs, travel and accommodation when at college or university are paid for.

HR Generalist

Production Operator

This is a diverse role which involves various production and quality tasks, as well as operating both forklift trucks and overhead cranes (remote and cab controlled) and some other mobile plant equipment.  This is a 12hr shift based role, following a set pattern of dayshift and nightshift and we operate 24/7 all year round.

– Previous experience within a manufacturing environment is desirable.

– Experience in operating Forklifts and Cranes is desirable, however training will be provided

Maintenance Craftsperson - Electrical

We are hiring a skilled Electrical Craft Maintenance Operator to join our team in Fort William.

What will you get in return?
Basic salary: £35,497 p.a.
Shift allowance: £6,397 p.a.
The opportunity to work guaranteed overtime, min payment £3,198 p.a.
Our shift team work an average of 12, 12.25-hour shifts per month.
