Festive Season at Alvance British Aluminium
This festive season, our team were delighted to come together once again to support our local community. With money raised through football cards, lucky squares, and a donation from Alvance British Aluminium, we were able to support Love in a Box and the Lochaber Foodbank.
This enabled us to provide Morrisons vouchers to help families buy fresh food and other food donations, as well as delivering toys and gifts for all ages to Love in a Box, here are Rosie Flannigan, Production Supervisor, and Graeme Paterson, Metal Production Manager, pictured at the Lochaber Foodbank. We’re incredibly proud of our team and the effort they’ve put into these charitable initiatives.
We also celebrated the season in true Lochaber Smelter style with our annual staff and family Christmas party at Caol Community Centre. Over 50 children joined the party, meeting Santa (who might just deserve a long-service award!) and receiving presents. Picture L-R, among the youngest attendees were three newborns—James Tangney with Angus, Sean Cameron with Rosie and Mark Gillespie with Soren, maybe one day they follow in their fathers’ footsteps.
The celebrations continued with our 12 Days of Christmas Prize Draw, where team members had the chance to win prizes sourced from local businesses. Of course, the most sought-after prize was the coveted day off. Well done to Cameron Loudon, our Mamore Head Stalker on Jahama Highland Estates, on winning this, pictured here in his working attire.
Rounding the season up, we enjoyed a Festive Get Together, with everyone bringing a tray of their favourite dishes, complemented by many wearing their Christmas jumpers.
We had great fun, but a big thank you goes to our staff and the local charities who go the extra mile to make a difference. It’s fantastic to see our staff and their families come together.
We would like to wish everyone a very Merry Christmas and a happy, successful 2025!
