Three opportunities have arisen for Modern Apprentices to join our team, where you can become a fully qualified Maintenance Mechanical or Electrical Craftsperson. Closing date for applications is Wednesday 19th March 2025.

What is our Modern Apprenrenticeship Programme?

To apply for our four-year programme + six months to apply your trade, you will find yourself working on-site and alongside leading professionals in their field. With structured professional development, you will participate in exciting projects and continue building your experience in our daily operations ‘ins and outs’ as well as getting the opportunity to attend UHI Inverness. All associated learning costs, travel and accommodation when at college are paid for.

Length of programme
  • 4 years + 6 months
  • First year is spent at UHI Inverness
Entry requirements
  • National 5 in Maths & English + 1 related subject.
  • Be aged 16 or over – there is no upper age limit. In some roles, you need to be over 18 for health and safety reasons.
  • Be a Scottish resident.
  • Have the right to live and work in Scotland.
Reward and Benefits
  • Starting Salary: £19,500
  • Annual increments September each year. Salary upon qualification
  • From £38,694.65
    • * approximate excluding annual increases
